Septic Tank
Test PH levels for acid/alkaline readings
Inspect for signs of leaking and ground water penetration
Check the scum and sludge levels
Inspect risers and lids and tank structure and confirm they are in good repair
It is recommended to vacuum the tank every 3 years at a minimum
Distribution Box
Inspect box for uneven settling and structural integrity
Vacuum the box and jet steam every 5 to 8 years as needed
Ensure uniform flow
Drain Field
Inspect inappropriate drainage in or near the dispersal area
Inspect for surfacing effluent and inappropriate vegetation growth
Observe the field end cleanouts
Inspect for abnormal settling erosion
Inspect as required with a pipe inspection camera
Vacuum and jet steam field dispersal lines
Monitor traffic impact
